Upgrade Monitoring Card Firmware

To upgrade the switch firmware on the monitoring line card, as well as the switch firmware on all of the line cards in the switch:

1. Download the latest switch firmware from the ftp site.

   http://download.myri.com/pub/xbar32/shipfs.img

2. From the top-level menu of the web interface to the switch

   

   click on Upgrade Monitoring Card Firmware and the following webpage will appear.

   

3. Click on Browse on this webpage, select the location of the switch firmware (shipfs.img), and then click on Upgrade Firmware.

   

4. When the upgrade has completed, the following webpage will appear

   

5. Click on reboot and the slot m webpage will appear.

   

6. Click on reboot and the following reboot webpage for the monitoring line card will appear.

   

   Check the reboot box and click Apply and the monitoring line card will be rebooted.

• Older versions of the switch firmware (prior to shipfs.img.v0.9.9.3) required a separate web page for updating the switch firmware on the monitoring line card and on the remaining line cards. For simplicity, we have combined the update procedure into one unified switch firmware. The unified switch firmware is available with switch firmware version shipfs.img.v0.9.9.3 and later.
